EASTRIDGE DESIGN BEGAN inconspicuously in the ebullience and excess of 1980’s New York City. A successful gallery artist and university professor, Katie Eastridge dabbled in decorating during graduate school, helping fellow artists and friends with their living spaces, often transitioning Tribeca lofts from artists’ studios into beautiful family residences. While spending afternoons at the park with her children, other women would approach her for help with furnishing their homes, and soon, her focus shifted from the painting and photography that had defined her career to interior design. Her enthusiasm for cultivating personal relationships, coupled with her well-edited yet vibrant interiors and her artist’s eye for detail resonated with the loft owners in New York, and Eastridge Design was born.

As the firm and her family grew, Katie relocated to Princeton, New Jersey. Soon, the breadth and variety of Eastridge Design’s projects were transformed: a 30,000-square-foot new construction in California; a townhouse in Washington D.C.; a 19th-century home outside of Boston; a country estate in Bucks County, Pennsylvania; beach bungalows along the New Jersey coastline; and a steady stream of houses, suburban and urban, new and old, in the tri-state area. The reach of Eastridge Design soon surpassed the city dwellings of New York and Philadelphia that were, and continue to be, the foundation of the firm.

Katie personally oversees all facets of the process, from initial meeting to inspiration to implementation.
